Sometimes in life you meet people who just get you, and Nat from Keady Row is one of those people. In the most millennial of ways, I reached out to her on the 'gram for a styled shoot I did last October, and she brought the goods and SO much more. Keady Row is a stationery studio focussing on clean looks, beautiful fonts and divine design: blending incredible type with stunning colourways and generally producing absolute beauty. Total babe, mega enthusiast, and The Office fan - literally where is the flaw here?! (Sidenote: just imagine having a picture-perfect photo-ready navy wall in your house for WHENEVER you needed a photo. Absolutely lifechanging).
What are you enthusiastic about?
There are few things in this world that get more enthusiastic than some beautifully set type. (Totally nerdy I know - graphic designers out there will get me) I’m also pretty enthusiastic about Pizza and my dogs; Spud & Champ… or just any dog really!
Why do you keep doing what you're doing?
I really love working with awesome couples. Hearing their ideas about their wedding and then being able to translate that into a schweeeeet design is really exciting and I feel super privileged that they trust me with that. I get such a buzz when people get excited about my work and I still can’t quite believe I get paid to do it!
I’m also big into being my own boss and all the benefits of self employment (there are many negatives too!)
What's the impact you want to make?
I want to give couples the option of cool, design-led, bespoke wedding stationery - something that’s not mass produced and acceptable to your mother-in-law. Dare to be different guys!!!
Best advice you've ever been given?
Don’t save anything for the swim back - Vincent, (Gattaca 1997)
Who's your Enthusiastic hero?
Ah it has to be Michael Scott - “I am Beyoncé. Always.”
If money were no object, what would you be doing?
Hmmmm, hard question! I’d love to take Keady Row global - maybe a New York or Copenhagen studio. I’d love to travel and collaborate more. My second passion in life is dogs so I’d probably open a dog shelter and just love on the doggies all day.
