I'm a pretty cheerful nugget of a human - it's kind of what makes this whole Enthusiast brand so hashtag authentic - but I have never ever, no never ever, in my life been so GLEEFUL as when I was writing up this INCREDIBLE interview with Julia, the designer, illustrator and creator behind Ink & Thimble. I actually got goosebumps reading these answers back, and then I realised that I'm lucky enough to have Julia wear one of my tshirts, and the bumps get bumps. (Julia also sent me a really, indescribably wonderful close-up zoom in of her face, which was a whole different bodily reaction, but that one's just for me). Her adoration for arts and passion for people are wonderful and inspiring and evocative and truly awe-inducing; from now on, I will forever be celebrating my jumper stains. (Read below to figure out what that is, and why you will too...)Read More
One of my favourite things about this movement has been meeting people I wouldn't have met before, and Michelle is definitely one of those people. I haven't met Michelle in person but in an unapologetically millennial way I've met her online and she is a bloody babe - a total ray of sunshine and the enthusiast movement poster girl. She's a TV producer by day and aerial fitness instructor by night, truly living her best life every damn day. She also shares my love of Sarah Powell, who's a fellow enthusiast and fellow babe (what a strong club we've got going on here, hey?!), Danny Jones, our fave McFLY member, and funky trousers, with a strong selection I love + live to see on the 'gram. Meet Michelle, who is sunshine personified, here:Read More
I find new hobbies that I want to try out about as frequently as I go to the kettle to make cups of tea (and tea making is literally on my CV, so you can take a safe guess that that's a lot). It's one of the curses of enthusiasm, I guess. But one hobby that's stayed at the forefront of my desires is signwriting and painting, and that's all because of this lady, Esther of Sylvie Signs. Her incredible craftsmanship and gorgeous work can be seen in her etsy shop, and her general loveliness can be seen below…Read More
I mean. Have you ever seen something so BLOODY MAGNIFICENT?
Pie and Fash is so much more than a blog - it's the guide to life that everyone has searched for at least once in their lives, and its owner Daisy Keen - my peachy queen - is the best friend everyone has searched for definitely more than once in their lives. She's a purveyor of fine fashion, fiery feminism, sex and over-sharing (and she's really not lying - she navigates everything from power suits to disco tits and IBS with humility and hilarity). Her enthusiasm for sparkles, feathers, and haikus made from obscure Google searches that have led people to her website - yes, really, do you get why I love her yet? - has inspired me for years. And now she's wearing a bloody Enthusiast t-shirt!Read More
Sometimes in life you meet people who just get you, and Nat from Keady Row is one of those people. In the most millennial of ways, I reached out to her on the 'gram for a styled shoot I did last October, and she brought the goods and SO much more. Keady Row is a stationery studio focussing on clean looks, beautiful fonts and divine design: blending incredible type with stunning colourways and generally producing absolute beauty. Total babe, mega enthusiast, and The Office fan - literally where is the flaw here?! (Sidenote: just imagine having a picture-perfect photo-ready navy wall in your house for WHENEVER you needed a photo. Absolutely lifechanging).Read More
